A Force Sensing Resistor ®, FSR®, is a type of variable resistor which changes its resistance in response to being pressed. This is an analog sensor. The harder it is pressed, the lower its resistance. The range of force the devices are designed to measure is in the range of a person's touch or grip. The manufacturer does not recommmend making a scale or weighing device using the FSR.
