Sometimes called a Bend Sensor, and sometimes called a Flex Sensor, this device is a variable resistor which changes its resistance as it is bent. It is important to not kink or crease the sensor. This would ruin it. The apparatus shown above gently bends the sensor as the knob is turned. We believe that this device was the finger-flex sensor the Nintendo® data glove.
